Meet mister Griffin! He's a 1 - 1.5yr old boy who's very smart! Griffin is good with adults, kids, and dogs. He currently wants to chase cats, but with dedication, he would likely be a quick study in refraining from such behavior. Griffin is a bit of an escape artist in that he can clear 6ft fences with a little help from a crossbeam or other step in a backyard. Therefore he'd do well in an apt/condo set up, a rural setting, and or a VERY secure backyard where he likely isn't left unattended. Griffin would make a great candidate for a service/therapy dog. **We do not discuss individual dogs with applicants until completion of the adoption process. Please submit a completed application: http://dobermanrescueco.org/adopt/forms/. We never consider you applying for a particular dog. The more open you are to gender, color and age, the more likely you are to find a dog with us. We want homes that accept that they are rescuing a dog and are willing to work with the dog to make him a good citizen. We will also schedule a home visit. Once approved to adopt from us, we will contact you about suitable dogs and put you in contact with the foster parents. We get dogs into rescue on a regular basis and they are placed with previously approved adopters who have been waiting for their forever dog. It is best not to focus on any specific dog until you have been approved. We welcome your interest in a dog that may steal your heart but please remember that the dogs posted on our site today will most likely go to homes of applicants that applied weeks ago.**
I want to thank you for your input at the start of my process of searching for a doberman. Max and I have been together for about two weeks now and enjoying our time together. He is so sweet and we are a fantastic fit. I thought I would include a photo for you (he loves to nuzzle is face in my chest!) All the best, thank you!
